ABOUT
Carolina Arenas is a first-generation Colombian American, born and raised in Queens, NY. She has a Masters in Social work and a bachelor in Forensic Psychology. Her passion for social work was what inspired her to open: Meraki Wayuu, a brand of handmade artisanal bags and accessories, sourced from the Wayuu tribe of La Guajira, Colombia. Our mission is to raise multicultural awareness, promote social justice and cultural preservation via economic fair trade. Through Meraki Wayuu, we are able to empower artisans to share their stories and traditions while giving our communities an opportunity to shop with a purpose.
